Phone Calls

Red Cedar Family Practice has been trained to ask the nature of your problem when you call. They will take a message and discuss your problem with the doctor or nurse. They will respond with instructions from the doctor as soon as possible. Unless it is an emergency, they will not interrupt doctors while they are seeing patients.

Routine calls for scheduling, prescription refills and referrals should be made between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Thursday and 8:30 am – 3:00 pm Friday. Follow the automated prompts to reach the department that meets your need.

We see all patients on an appointment basis. The nature of your problem and the doctor’s schedule will dictate how soon you can be seen. Please schedule physicals at least 3 months in advance. If you are unable to keep your appointment please call to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance.

****After Hours calls are handled by an on-call doctor. Your call should be answered within 20 minutes. If your call is not answered, call again. If your problem is a true emergency dial “ 911” or proceed to the nearest emergency room.
